[ frank lets himself in and goes to find dorothy's room, holding up the bowl of soup like an offering ]

[ he'll find her under the blankets, one foot sticking out and not much else of her, though she pulls the covers down a bit and sits up when he enters.

soup. company. the company of someone who knows what's going on, even. she's pretty sure she's dehydrated and that's why she's so dizzy, but knowledge doesn't make it any easier to bear. ]

[ he sits on the edge of her bed and sets the soup aside for now, smiling at her gently. he supposes he gets to be the nurse today. ] hey

[ he gets to be nurse today and the smile goes some way toward making her feel better. she's not a great patient, but she's going to try not to be terrible. probably. maybe. ]

[ that's a question, but she's not quite able to muster up the energy to bother with punctuation and proper texting etiquette ]

[ he wasn't great either so he's pretty sure he can endure it for her, putting a hand on her knee in reassurance. today whatever she wants him to do, he will. not like that's much different from usual.

rather than reply to her 'question' he holds up an OK symbol with his free hand. peachy ]

[ he's good. okay. that's — that's good. she gives a little nod and for a little moment, she manages to hold a smile on her face before her eyes slide closed and she sinks a little deeper into the pillows again.

she points to where she keeps some supplies she's pilfered from the hospital. ]
