[Elektra clutches her device tightly as she stares down that dog. He never goes for her throat. The man with him is to credit for that. It's because of this she pushes down the anger that's building up. She doesn't like being fucked with. It's pretty obvious if he was to blame, he'd have used the dog against her by now.
Once his hands go up it's undeniable he isn't her enemy. She breathes in deep, slow, and mostly unnoticeably unless you're dealing with a man who notices everything. She's at least trying to calm down. She flashes a wolfish smile at Frank.]
Explain to me who thought playing dress up with me was an excellent idea. I'll be happy to go deal with them.
That's... the one thing I can't answer. You wanna take a seat?
[ not that she looks particularly fragile, but waking up here is one hell of a headache -- literally and figuratively. but she also doesn't seem patient necessarily so frank will get started with his spiel while she either sits or doesn't. he gets down a glass in anticipation either way. ]
We're in space. On a space station, actually. The how and the why are still pending, alright, but we're making the best of it.
[Elektra is about to make a comment about not needing a seat when the pain sets in. Adrenaline and anger only get you so far it seems. She touches the side of her head and makes a noise somewhere between a groan and growl.] Like someone split my head open and stuffed cotton in it.
[She forces herself to her feet so she can take a proper seat at the... bar? Well she can't deny they picked the place she wanted to be after that fiasco with Matthew. The rest of what he says filters in and she glares at Frank in response.] ... Are you making fun of me?
[ he shakes his head slowly, empathy writ across his eyes like a good bartender. ]
I meant, are you gonna be sick?
[ because if she's going to throw up he might not pour her a drink okay. but in that vein- ] What's your usual poison? [ call it a hunch, but she looks like a girl with a usual. max lays back down at frank's feet once elektra is out of his space, content to be apart from her for now. ]
[Elektra actually snorts at the question.] I've ingested the world's most lethal poison and didn't puke once. I'll manage whatever the Hell is going on.
[She slams her open palm on the table.] Give me some tequila while I sort this out.
[ oh... he's gonna need that story later. please hold while he starts taking down clear bottles and sniffing until he thinks he has the tequila. close enough anyway, so he carts it over to her and pours a few fingers. ]
A guy here made a post... it might help. [ he sets the bottle down within her reach if she wants more while he queues up amos' post for her, turning his wrist so she can see it. ]
[Elektra pulls the glass over to her. She takes a long and generous sip while she watches this. A few things go through her mind. One: a man like this should not have access to technology this good. She's a bit concerned. Two: she voices aloud.] Really doubling down on this space story.
[She's studying the information as they speak. What if she is in space? That would be insane but, so is every part of her life.] I will say I love his shotgun.
That's the only way to sell it, right? [ but he'll prove it to her, in time. she looks like she could really stand to finish her drink first though. ] It is a nice gun.
[ what? he literally couldn't let that pass him by. he has a love affair with that thing. but back to serious stuff or you know, attempts thereof. ]
[ another person from nyc. it's starting to get weird... he leans onto the bar on his elbows now that the video is done, tipping his head to the side in a commiserating fashion. ]
Funny thing about New York, it's not so easy. [ to leave. it tethers people, the way daredevil had told him it does. ]
[She glares at her drink, pointing at Frank shortly after. Elektra barely checks her anger at the thought of being stuck somewhere that's only ever screwed her for good.] I'm aware, but I will abandon that city for good. Watch me.
i lost this sorry YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TELL ME THESE THINGS
More than you, probie. [ he shakes his head, arguing with her won't get him anywhere in the end as satisfying as it is right now. ] It's gonna take a lot more than one dumb jarhead to crack this station.
[She snorts. He's meeting her halfway here so she won't pick a fight for now even if that word pricks at her true pride and not the fake display she puts on for everyone.] It's a good thing you have me now. Assuming I'll ever care which I don't. I'm out of New York, aren't I?
[ in frank's experience, people who claim not to care often care the most. but he doesn't say it. he hasn't been shy about announcing his concerns, but nor has he tried to take anything over. he's just trying to help out in any way he knows how. if right now that means pouring tequila and relaying what he's learned about space to a girl who's pretending to be vapid but definitely isn't, then so be it. ]
About as far out as you can get, I'll give credit where it's due.
Thank you. [Elektra sighs dramatically. You would think she was waiting for him to admit that all night with the way she puts weight on the words.] I got exactly what I want even if I have to kill whoever did this out of principle. Legally, of course.
[She snorts, but obliges. That glass is going down in one long sip. RIP Elektra's liver... or not. Who even knows what she is.] Do they even pay you to do this?
Haven't you ever heard that community service makes a man rich? [ he shrugs one shoulder ] Yeah, me either. [ but seriously money is meaningless here. sorry elektra. ]
No fun. [She complains as she finishes her drink and looks at him expectedly.] Alright show me your proof so I can get properly drunk without having to consider bashing your brains in every few seconds.
