APPEARANCE.

Frank is very obviously Military on first impression. He stands at just over 6' with his boots on and holds himself ramrod straight. He has that obviously Marine haircut, his dog-tags tucked under his off-navy jumpsuit just in case; and it's deliberate the way he drops his magboots onto the metal grating of the corridors. He almost always has bruises on his face in varying states of healing and there's a scar across his palm that he sustained here as well as two visible scars on his chest. One from an AK-47 (right) and one from a crossbow (left). He's lost weight since coming here, finding it challenging to keep up with eating and working out with the spin and low gravity working against him.

Also of note is the shuffling way with which he walks. After sustaining an injury to his left foot, he has a unique gait that's instantly noticeable to those who pay attention. His communicator is often absent from his wrist but he will never be without his knife, strapped securely to his left ankle. Max the brown pit bull with the white belly is his near-constant companion. They're both rough around the edges, but sweethearts deep down.

He is in Room 6.19 but can most often be found tending bar, finding people to spar in the gym, slamming coffee in the mess (or working on his knitting); or patrolling the Station. He makes at least one pass through every floor morning and night for anything "amiss" but also for anyone people have been looking for. Most notably James Holden of the Rocinante, or his blood brother David Lieberman.

Francis "Frank" David Castle Sr. is a violent vigilante and former United States Marine, who joined Cerberus Squad while he was still serving in Afghanistan. Fearing that he was slowly losing his honor under the command of Agent Orange, Castle returned to his family, only to lose them all during a brutal shooting. Castle then became the Punisher, aiming to clean up New York City of crime by any means necessary. While seeking to avenge his own family's deaths, Castle came into conflict with Daredevil. Castle was soon arrested and, despite the efforts of Nelson and Murdock, was sentenced to life within prison. However, Castle was freed with the help of Wilson Fisk, and discovered the Blacksmith was in fact the one who was responsible for his family's murder.

Abandoning his identity, Castle attempted to live a quiet life before he was found by Micro who revealed to him that more people had been involved in his family's death, and they were involved in the illegal Operation Cerberus he had performed in Afghanistan. While hunting down all those involved, Castle came back into contact with his former best friend Billy Russo, who he eventually learned was working with William Rawlins to try and assassinate Castle. Having discovered the truth, Castle allowed himself to be captured by Russo and Rawlins, eventually killing Rawlins and, in a brutal showdown, disfigured Russo's face beyond repair. Having at last exposed Rawlins' crimes, Castle was then allowed to gain freedom by the CIA and looked to begin a peaceful life for himself.
